Snowman Thank-you

I am back! My room is officially back together and organized! Feels great to have my space back. Let's bring on the creativity!

We made these super adorable snowmen at Stamp Club this month (I am just getting around to posting...). If you still have thank-you's to send out for holiday gifts, these are it! It is okay to admit you still have thank-you's to get out in the mail...I just sent all mine Saturday.

To construct the snowman, I used the Top Note Die to make his hat and face and his rosy cheeks are made with a sponge dauber. Googly eyes make him super adorable! Who wouldn't love to receive this in the mail as a thank you gift? Or for any reason, for that matter! Happy winter!

Recipe:
Stamp: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Bashful Blue, Old Olive DSP, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Chocolate Chip (for sponging around the hat), Pink Pirouette
Acessories: Googly eyes (Hobby Lobby), Rhinestone Brad, Spong Dauber, Top Note Die, Big Shot, Snowflake embosslits, Dimentionals, Corner Rounder

Stamp-a-Stack

What is stamp-a-stack, you ask? Well, it is a great time to get a head start (or even finish) your Christmas cards! I design 4 cards, and you make 4 of each one. You leave with 16 cards, and the fee is only $20. I provide all the supplies, except adhesive. You bring your own adhesive (if you need some, we can work something out).

Here are the cards. We will be meeting at my house on November 30 at 6:30 p.m. Email me mailto:tiffbell@hotmail.com if you are interested in attending - there is still room!

Super cute wreath card I copied from the Holiday Mini. LOVE how you can show off all your DSP! And the satin ribbon is just yummy!

Recipe:
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, DSP
Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon

Next one is a very "clean" card with the majority of it being white. Not something I do very often, but I think it makes the gold tree pop. (sorry if this photo is bad - I took them late last night with bad lighting).

Recipe:
Paper: Whisper White, Garden Green
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Red Satin Ribbon

How super fun is this? A stack of gifts using the Designer paper? LOVE! The gold cord ties the packages together nicely, but you could use any ribbon you have on hand!

Recipe:
Paper: Old Olive, DSP, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dimensionals, Gold cord

I just LOVE these mittens! Maybe cuz it is 10 below outside and my real mittens feel so good? I know you girls aren't going to be happy about cutting out the mittens, but there is just 1 per card, and it reall makes it pop, don't you think?

Recipe:
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Real Red, DSP
Accessories: Real Red Ribbon
Stamp: Loads of Love

I apologize also for not having specifics for the paper and stamp sets. I downloaded the pictures and am doing the post really quick at work before we head out of town. I will update this weekend so you have the true recipes! Hope to see you all on Tuesday!

November Stamp Club

Well hello chicas! Sneak peak at tonight's stamp club! Time to get ready for the holidays!! This first project would make a great little treat to put at each person's place setting for the holidays! Even if you aren't hosting the holidays, what a great treat to bring for the hostess! The bags I purchased at Hobby Lobby - they are 3 1/2 x 2 x 6 3/4. Fill it with a little candy, maybe those little pumpkins made out of pure sugar...?

Paper: More Mustard, Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Accessories: Poppy Parade Ribbon (unraveled), Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Small Oval Punch

This next card makes me smile - who doesn't love Santa this time of year? And how fun to have a card that is Santa's suit? The Tinsel trim is about the best ribbon ever - sparkly, irredescent! Yummy! There is no sentiment inside this card - but you could easily put your favorite holiday greeting!

Recipe:
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Silver (non-SU!)
Accessories: 1 1/4" Square Punch, Tinsel Trim Ribbon, 1/2" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Top Note Die

And this last card has got to be my favorite! I am LOVING making these origami Christmas Trees. There could be a lot of these cards being sent from our house this year! I used 4 squares that measure 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5. FUN!!!!

Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Pear Pizazz DSP

A new look at ribbon

Looking for a new way to show off your ribbon? How about all bunched up? Thanks to my stamping pal Lisa, I gave this technique a try. It is super fun, and totally do-able with any ribbon! Take your sticky strip and run it across your card, then adhere your ribbon and bunch it up as you go along. My advice to you when you try this at home - Don't try to bunch up too much ribbon, otherwise it won't stay stuck for the card. The morning after I did this card, the ribbon had jumped right off the card!!

Recipe:
Paper: More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Retired Fall DSP, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories: Dimensionals, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Retired Ribbon

Now how about a little bling?

What is more fun than texture and bling? Not much, right? This card gives you a little of both!! Love the Embossing folders - GREAT way to add some texture to your card and make it really pop. And how can you not love a great big flower and a little bling? No sentiment on this one - which makes it a great card to have on hand, and you can add an occasion specific sentiment on the inside!

Recipe:
Paper: Basic Gray, Yo-Yo Yellow (retired), Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Brad, Flower (non-SU!), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals

Welcome back

Welcome back everyone! Oh, wait. I should welcome myself back! I fell into a little bit of a creative slump when the basement flooded, but my mojo is back!

Cards are a great gift for a special someone over the holidays. How about a package of notecards or thank-you cards? These cards are by special request for some masculine cards. I know this is always a difficult "genre" for me, as I like lots of bling and sparkle. Not necessarily something those male types like in a card.

These cards use very masculine designer paper, tied up with hemp twine (just like my Halloween cards) or knotted ribbon (which seems to be more manly than a bow). Then I used Rub-ons for the sentiment. GREAT way to add a little "oomph" to your cards without stamping!

Recipe:
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Retired Fall DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Chat Room Rub-on

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Time for the holidays! Halloween always is the start of the holiday season for me, which means the next 2 months are going to go fast! Love the smell of fall!

Need a great way to use up small scraps of Designer Series Paper that you just can't part with? This is perfect! I had a few scraps of Halloween paper from years past, and mixed em up to make this card! The 1 1/4" square punch is a great tool to have to maximize your paper! ;0)

Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween - weather should be great for trick or treaters - bring on the kiddos!
