Happy Birthday Sissy

Okay, so her birthday was on Tuesday, but we are in Bozeman now celebrating with her. We started off today by running a 5k! Anyways, onto the card.

I wanted to use some of the new DSP that this new catalog has to offer. I was instantly drawn to this color combination - LOVE green and purple together! I will admit, that this card was a work in progress. Started with the paper and the Top Note die and then just added embellishments and paper until it passed approval! Whatcha think? I think I am in love with buttons!

Flock Together notecard

Okay, so you know how much I love the little pouches, and this one is just adorable! :) They are so versatile. They can hold gift cards, candies, money, the possibilities are endless! Wanna know how to make one?

Step 1: Cut your paper to measure 8 x 5 1/2. Score at 3 1/4 and 6 3/4 and then at 1 inch on both sides of the long direction. Cut off the four corner tabs. The only tabs needed are in the middle.
Step 2: Using your corner rounder, punch all of the corners.
Step 3: Apply adhesive to the top of the flaps. Make sure you don't go all the way up as your front panel doesn't quite reach the top.
Step 4: Using the Horizontal punch, punch a hole in the flap. I had to punch one and a half out to fit the wider ribbon.
Step 5: Embellish the front panel of the envelope.
Step 6: Feed the ribbon through the bottom of the flap and then tie a bow on top of the flap. You're done! How quick and easy is that????

Love it! And I do admit that at firs wasn't crazy about this designer paper, but once I gotit combined with the coordinating card stock - looks great!
