Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Here is the card I picked to send out to our family. You can see the first version I made here. After playing with these colors for awhile, I decided I really like them all together. The sketch for this card is also a sketch challenge SC205.

Sketches are a GREAT way to get you inspired - especially if you have lost your mojo! Here is my version of this sketch....whatcha think?

Again, I just love the little bunny - so cute! Hope you all have a great Easter!

My SU! Website

Hey there! Just wanted to let you all know I have cancelled my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website. I hardly ever add anything to it, and you can always place orders directly through me! So....it will be going away. You can still view Stampin' Up! merchandise online, and have added that link on the right hand side! Hope everyone is ready for Easter this weekend...at least it stopped snowing for now!

April Club

Tonight is my stamp club, and here is what my ladies are making.

The first project is our Easter card that I am so excited about! It's like a card and a 3-d project all in one. A moveable card! The top of the card is held together on the side with a brad. Don't use adhesive on the top part or your card won't be making any movement!

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set: Eight Great Greetings, Yummy
Ink: Basic Black, Misc. to color bunny
Paper: Certainly Celery, Kraft, Regal Rose, Whisper White, So Saffron
Accessories: Brad, So Saffron Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch

The next card we are making uses some fabulous new things from the Occasions Mini Catalog! The stamp set is great, and the paper is even better!

This is kind of a card within a card, if you will. Here is a picture of the card opened:

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set: Great Friend
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray, Cameo Coral
Paper: Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Walk in the Park DSP
Accessories: Baja Breeze Ribbon

The last project we are making are cute little easter baskets to hold candy. I just love making things that hold candy! In fact, I liked them so much, I made additional ones to have on my Easter table on Sunday. You will see those in a few days.

To make these baskets, Cut your cardstock at 6"x6", and score at 1 1/2" in all sides. Snip 4 of the crease lines to fold up and form the bottom of your basket (I used sticky strip to keep it together, and inserted the ribbon when I folded up the box so you can't see it. Add some fun Easter grass and candy and you're done!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Garden Green

Paper: Garden Green, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Garden Green DSP
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon

Loads of Easter Love

I just love the truck in this set, and LOVE the versitility of the stamp set! You can use it for just about every holiday that comes along, even Easter! So, if you want a stamp set that can get you through many holidays, this is the one! And - it is soooo much fun to color!

Who has a pink truck, you say? Well, me! If I had a truck like this, I would want it to be pink! Actually, we do have an older refinished truck, but Duane would KILL me if I told him I wanted to paint it pink - he won't even let me drive the thing! And him driving a pink truck.....! HA!

Okay, back to the card. Here is another Easter card I made, the sentiment is on the inside (a first for me!)

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set:
Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories
Ink: Basic Gray, Regal Rose, Misc. Soft Subtles for the eggs
Paper: Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Naturals White, Regal Rose DSP
Accessories: Brads, Dimensionals

The Icing on the cake

The best part! My friend Tiff's birthday is today, and this is her birthday card. She lives in Sunny California, so I couldn't resist using some Apricot Appeal paper to make her card. This is another stamp from the Eight Great Greetings stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog. A fantastic set to have to get you through multiple occasions and holidays!

I used the Apricot Appeal DSP that can be found in the hostess paper pack in the current catalog. The Jumbo Grommet is in the Ocassions mini - and are so fun! You just use your bone folder to attach to your paper. Don't look too closely, though....this was my first one and I had some issues.....Can you see the 'icing' on my birthday cake? Its Crystal Effects!!!

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set:
Eight Great Greetings
Ink: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal
Paper: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Apricot Appeal DSP
Accessories: Jumbo Grommet, Paper Piercer, Crystal Effectds, Dimensionals, Whisper White Organza Ribbon
