Happy Baby Gerri!

Today is my good friend Gerri's baby shower. She welcomed her first little one Ryan a few months ago and he is just the cutest thing! Her baby shower is today and I am going to miss it (gasp) because I have company in town. Hope she has a great shower!!

I copied this from a card on page 60 in the Catalog. I changed the colors and picture of a little bit! The Catalog is a great place to get ideas from, so use that as a resource! I colored the image with my new Watercolor crayons and then wet it with my watercolor pen. SOOO fun! I may get into this water color stuff!

Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie (water color crayon), Ruby Red (water color crayon)

Thank you!

She really loves her . . . 1 1/4" punch! Do you ever see that in the magazines and they show a celebrity in a bunch of pictures with the same scarf or purse, or whatever? Well, I am on a kick with this punch, and it is SOO fun! A great way to add dimension to a card, and an easy way to use up a bunch of scraps of paper, whether it is cardstock or designer paper. So here is a card that does just that - uses up those itty bitty scraps of cardstock that you just can't bear to throw away. I also used some (non-SU!) brads that were in my stash that matched perfectly to SU! colors!!!

Recipe:
Stamp set:
Teeny Tiny Wishes, Simply Said
Ink: Basic Gray
Paper: Confetti White, Green Galore, Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: 1 1/4" Square Punch, (non-SU!) brads, dimensionals
Technique: Sponging

And this is the second card I did with a little bit different color combination. Which one do you like best? I needed a handful of thank-yous for those dear friends that have given us house-warming gifts! These worked great! Each square is 'up on blocks' to give it added dimension and also sponged around the edges! :) The sentiment is from a fantastic stamp set in the new catalog called Teeny Tiny Wishes. If you are looking for a stamp set with all the phrases that you would EVER need, this is the one!!!

Recipe:
Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Simply Said
Ink: Basic Gray
Paper: Confetti White, Summer Sun, Cameo Coral, Lovely Lilac
Accessories: 1 1/4" Square Punch, (non-SU!) brads, dimensionals
Technique: Sponging

Hope you like! They sure were fun to make!

Build a daisy

Hey again! This is a stamping challenge that I found here. Finding a layout challenge is a great way to get you out of your box and thinking about your layouts in a different way. This is the layout:

Now, you don't have to follow the colors and you can do whatever you want with the center section. But when I saw that it was a big daisy, I knew I had to use my Build a flower die for my Big Shot! I also threw in a few of the new In-colors. Three of them, actually!! Who else loves that the ribbon is double-sided? Great versatility!!!

Recipe:
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Large vanilla brad, Soft Suede Ribbon, Dimensionals, (non-SU) brads

Thanks for stopping by!!! I challenge you all to try this layout! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I'm baaaaack!!!

Yep, that's right! I am back! My room is unpacked and organized enough to do cards, and so i sat down and did a few last night! I hope you like! I missed a few birthdays (the horror) in July, so I made a few of these to send and make up for all those who I missed.

I just LOVE how this card turned out! A little more time consuming that I would have liked, but well worth it in the end, don't you think? The cupcakes are from The More the Merrier and are just the cutest. I stamped them individually on the cardstock in Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. Then cut them out and put them up on blocks on the 1 1/4" block of paper! I also broke out my sewing machine to do a little stitching! Super fun!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: The more the merrier, Party Hearty
Paper: Dusty Durango, Whisper White, Brocade Blue, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Versa mark, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Dusty Durango Ribbon, White embossing powder, sewing machine
Technique: Sewing, embossing
Feels good to be back! Hope you enjoy!
