Happy Together

Okay, so this was the runner up card for the anniversary card I needed a few days ago! Again, the little love birds. I wanted to try for something super minimal, which is usually pretty hard for me. I had seen this card done before, and wanted to try it for myself. Not sure that I am completely comfortable with how minimal it is, but it is growing on me.

To color the birds, I highlighted thier wing with my marker, and then colored them in with chalk. This is the inside of the card. I felt like since there was SO little going on outside, that there had to be a little bit going on inside! What do you think of minimalism when it comes to card making?

Happy Anniversary

My bestest friend Lynsay and her hubby Trevor celebrate their anniversary today. I am fairly certain it is their 8th wedding anniversary, as I met her just a few months after she got married. Congrats guys!

Now this isn't your typical annivesary card, as it doesn't say the magical words "Happy Annivesary" on it, but that's okay right? Because as much as you are celebrating the anniversary of anniversary of a wedding day, you are celebrating their love for each other.

Now this is another one where it has rub-ons on the transparency sheet. I love what a clean look it is! (You can see the reflection of the light on the transparency) And the 2 little love birds are awful cute too (Lynsay's maiden name was bird....perfect! :)) The grommets are super fun, and I love the look - REAL hard to get through the cardstock and the transparency!!

Paper: Whisper White

Whole Latte Love

This card I gave to Duane on Friday morning...just left it in his bathroom to find when he went to take a shower! He is a coffee addict, and I just knew I had to make a card for him using this stamp set.

This stamp set caught my eye, and knew it would be so fun to emboss! See - the embossing kick is still going strong! The other stamps are just as cute...more to come!

Don't you just love the strip of crimped paper that looks like the 'java jackets' from the coffee huts? hehe! To get the coffee mug embossed, I stamped it first with Chocolate Chip, and then using my Stamp-a-ma-jig stamped it again in Versamark so I could emboss!

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set:
Font of You
Ink: Chocolate Chip, VersaMark
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Candy Lane DSP
Accessories: Pink Pirouette Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Clear Embossing Powder
Techniques: Sponging, Crimping

Thanks for stopping by! Coffee, anyone? :)
