Tie for dad
As I sat there to tie the ribbon, I was dumfounded on how to make it actually look like a tie. So what did I do? Unrolled more of the ribbon, and put it around my neck to simulate actually tieing a tie! Ha! Under, over, around and through..... :)

New 09-10 Catalog
The first excitement is the new In Colors and they are great, great, great! Here is a peak:

The new colors are just fantastic! And guess what?!? They come in markers this year! Hallelujah!!
Make sure you check out the retired lists at my post here and place any orders before the end of the month. Over the next few weeks we will be saying good-bye to some of our favorite stamps, accessories and in-colors. Let me know if you want to place an order.
I am toying around with an idea and wanted to see what you thought....A combination 'retirement party' for the old stamp sets and a 'coming out' party for the new catalog and products. I will have some old stamp sets for sale, you will get to check out the new products, you club girls will get your NEW CATALOG! Maybe a special doorprize, and of course a make and take. What are your thoughts?
I hope you love the new products as much as I do! This is a great time to join stamp club so you can get your hands on a new catalog!!

This next card just tickles me! Who would have thought that my favorite Big Shot die turns into a purse when folded?! OMG! I just love it! What a great card to make for a girlfriend, a sister, or anyone who likes handbags. And who doesn't love handbags?
Recipe:
Okay, I saved the best for last (I think). I bought this die a few months ago, and just broke her out of the packaging right before we left town. I thought this would be a SUPER cute card to make for club. Wedding season is around the corner, any of you have weddings you need to attend? Wouldn't you love to have a few of these on hand?
Here is a picture of the card 'mid-open'
Now this card can be a little time intensive, but I think it is totally worth it. What do you think?

Embossed and Sanded Flower
On this one, I attached my grommet through both layers. Just poke it through, and then fold down the spikes with your bone folder. Then, tie your ribbon, and attach with a glue dot.
Recipe:
Paper: Going Gray, Urban Oasis DSP
Accessories: Jumbo Grommet, Regal Rose Ribbon, Big Shot, Manhattan Flower Embossing folder, nail file :)

Happy Birthday Padre!
He loves the Broncos, and in fact named his new puppy Elway! Don't you love it?! So I knew I needed to use orange and blue for his birthday card! And Liquid Applique is MY FAVORITE!! Something about watching it puff up right in front of your eyes is awesome! You gotta try it!
The DSP is retired from the Fall/Winter catalog, the Halloween paper. It was the only DSP I had that had Tangerine Tango in it!
Sorry I'm gonna miss your birthday, Padre! We'll celebrate when we get back!
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Black Stayz-on, Brilliant Blue, Tangerine Tango, Bordering Blue
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Spooky Nights DSP
Accessories: Tangerine Tango Ribbon, Liquid Applique, Dimensionals

Happy Together
To color the birds, I highlighted thier wing with my marker, and then colored them in with chalk. This is the inside of the card. I felt like since there was SO little going on outside, that there had to be a little bit going on inside! What do you think of minimalism when it comes to card making?

Happy Anniversary
Now this isn't your typical annivesary card, as it doesn't say the magical words "Happy Annivesary" on it, but that's okay right? Because as much as you are celebrating the anniversary of anniversary of a wedding day, you are celebrating their love for each other.
Now this is another one where it has rub-ons on the transparency sheet. I love what a clean look it is! (You can see the reflection of the light on the transparency) And the 2 little love birds are awful cute too (Lynsay's maiden name was bird....perfect! :)) The grommets are super fun, and I love the look - REAL hard to get through the cardstock and the transparency!!
Recipe:
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Summer Love Rub-ons, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Large Grommets
