December Club

Can you believe its time for December Stamp Club? One last chance to get ready for Christmas! :) Are you ready?

First card is a 'winter' card for those of you who aren't doing Chrismtas cards and doing a holiday or winter card instead ;) This card has lots of texture and is super fun, I think. Run the white through the Big Shot and the red through the crimper!

Ink: Brilliant Blue
Paper: Bashful Blue, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red Polka dot ribbon, gold cord, Dimensionals, Crimper, Big Shot Daisy Embossing folder

After all your Christmas cards are done, I bet you will be in great need of some thank you's! I know I always am. This is a super fun Buckle Card. You can find the tutorial here at Splitcoast. And I used my favorite sentiment stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes. Do you have that stamp set yet? It literally has a stamp for every occasion!!

Okay, I think this is my most favorite project ever!!!! And the cutest way to dress up a candy bar. Wouldn't these look adorable on top of a package? Or in someone's stocking? I already have 2 little kiddos in Belgrade in mind for mine!!

A Merry Little Christmas

Here is another one of my Christmas cards that I am sending out this season. Very traditional colors for this one. I just love the embossing folder! It looks like little poinsettia leaves, and is so super elegant in white! The ribbon is double sided which makes it so versatile! The other side is polka dots!

The sentiment is embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder. Can't have a Christmas card without a little sparkle!

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Christmas Punch
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red Ribbon, Petals a plenty Embossing Folder, Large Oval Punch, Dimesionals, Big Shot

Let it Snow

Here is a little Christmas card that I did. I just love this stamp set, and is so fun to color! I put a little Liquid Applique on the snowman and puffed it up with my embossing gun. Boy is that fun! I also ran the white layer through my Big Shot. You can't see real well in the photo, but it has little dots (like snowflakes).

Are you ready for Christmas cards yet?

Soup Can Gift

Do you have a member of your family that just can't keep their hands off the presents? Who just can't resist peeking and pulling at the paper? Well, that is my sister, believe it or not! We all love to guess our presents, and over the years she has gotten a bad rap for peeking and pulling before the big open.

So . . . . I wrapped her present in a soup can! Yep, a soup can. I have one of those 'safe' can openers that cut along the edge of the can and create a clean edge. So after I washed out the soup can, I inserted her present and then sealed the top with Crystal Effects (you could also use Tombo Adhesive, or another strong adhesive), and then decorated the can!

Here is a shot of the top of the can. I used my Circle Scissor Plus to cut the circle to fit inside the lid of the can. No peeking at this gift! :)

Stamp Set: Sweet Season
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Old olive, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Ski Slope DSP (retired)
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Circle Scissor Plus, Crystal Effects

November Club

It's club time again! We have a great Thanksgiving card, and 2 cards that go with home-made gifts. Nothing better than a home-made gift these days!

Okay, so this first card really makes me smile. I just LOVE the 3-d pumpkin. I am not sure that it will mail well, but pop an extra stamp on it, and I bet it would! The bottom edges of each layer is torn (great therapy to tear paper) and sponged.

Here is a close up of the 3-d pumpkin. It is made up of 8 scallop oval punches that are sponged on the edges. And a litle piece of scrap Old Olive curled up for the stem. :)

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Falling Leaves
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: More Mustard, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Accessories: Soft Suede Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch
Technique: Sponging, Tearing

Anyone make home-made salsa, jelly, bread, cookies, pasta? Anything that you make and give as a gift would look great topped with this cute little apron, don't you think? Write the recipe on the card and makes a great gift topper. Make sure you fill in the yum factor! :)

Recipe:
Stamp Set: From the Kitchen of
Ink: Choclate Chip
Paper: choclate chip, Real Red, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon, Sleigh Bells Ribbon, Round Tab Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Jumbo Eyelets

And this last one is great packaging for those of you who gift photo cd's or dvd's for Christmas. This is a great CD case that I found a tutorial for here. Very easy tutorial to follow!

This is a shot of the back of the CD case.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Sweet Celebrations (retired)

Accessories: Velcro circle, Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Build a Daisy Die, 5/8" Jumbo Brad

See ya gals tonight! Anyone want to join club? Contact me!

Crystal Lite anyone?

This would be a 're-claimed' Crystal Lite container that I have altered into gift packaging! Take advantage of items in your house that you would normally throw away and turn them into hand-crafted items!

This was easy to do - just wrap some DSP around your container, and then do some festive ribbon.

The best part, I think, of the whole package is the bow on top!! I am in love with it! You can find the tutorial here. Its WAY easy to make! This packaging AND bow used 1 sheet of designer paper. Looks quite fetching, don't you think? It already has a gift in it. Can you believe I already have a Christmas present ready and wrapped? me neither . . .

Recipe:
Paper: Ski Slope DSP (retired), Real Read
Accessories: Alpine Ribbon, Brad, Dimensional, Glue Dot

I think I will have to add a gift tag to it too. Don't want the recipient to already know what they are getting their gift in! :)

Merry Snowmen

Now, if these are the cutest little row of snowmen, I don't know what are! :) I love coloring their hats and scarves, and using the chunky glitter for the snow is perfect!

Yet another round of my Christmas cards. This one was super easy and very geometrical!

Felt Flurry Christmas

This will be the first of many Christmas card posts I have coming. I decided that if I started earlier this year, I would have a better chance of getting them done on time! (and not stress about them).

This card uses quite a few retired items . . . I hung onto the fabulous felt flurries from the Holiday Mini last year. They look great on a Christmas card, and the card is perfectly mailable with a few flurries on it! I used Tombow adhesive to adhere them to the card.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Best Yet (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP (retired)
Accessories: Dimensionals, Felt Flurries (retired), Baja Breeze Ribbon (retired)

Now if only we would get some real flurries around here . . .

Candy Stocking Stuffer

Halloween is over, which means it is time to start thinking about Christmas! I don't know about your family, but my family gets really excited about stocking stuffers. Overboard, is actually a better word! This year there are going to be lots of handmade stuffers! These may find their way into a few stockings . . .

The ribbon is tied around the candy bar and works as a slide to get the candy out of the belly band wrapper. These candies were on sale 2/$1 last week at Walgreens. I sure do LOVE a sale!

Happy Halloween!

Well, it's that time again. Time for treats at work. And boy, have I created a monster. There would be some very disappointed people if I didn't do treats. And these are so cute and easy! The pillow box die is a great little candy holder! (Hint: Don't try to run too many layers through your Big Shot at one time to save time - it ends up cutting on the portions that are supposed to be scored. I ended up doing about half of them over again!)

This is retired Halloween paper from last year, and now that I have used almost all of it up, can justify buying new Hallween stuff next year!

Here is all 20 of them for my work peeps. All filled with Halloween M&M's!

Stamp Set: Eat Drink and Be Scary
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Retired Halloween Paper

Mom's Halloween cards

I just love to share my love of stamping! And Sunday I got to share with my mom! She loves to craft as much as I do, but doesn't have the time, so I invited her over on Sunday to make Halloween cards with me, and these are what she came up with. They turned out great, and she was tickled with the results!!

Recipe:
Stamp: Eat Drink and be Scary, Lovely Letters
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie ribbon, Black Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Texturz Die

This is a great stamp set, cuz you can use it for Halloween or Thankgiving - depending on whether you use the jack-o-lantern face!

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie (pastels), Old Olive (pastels)
Paper: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Hooked on Fishing

Today is Duane's sister Trudy's birthday. And boy does she love to fish! Even more than Duane. I bought this stamp set a few years back becuase it works perfect for so many people in our families who love fishing!

This card turned out just the way I wanted it to. Originally I was going to sew on the card instead of use ribbon, but found I didn't have any brown thread. Ribbon works well in the space! The Mellow moss layer is dry embossed through my Big Shot which gives great dimension.

Here is a close up of the card. You can sorta see the dots on the Moss layer. Also - what do you think of the clip next to the fly? Kinda like a fish hook, right? (Remember they are on sale through Sunday if you want to get any.) Came together quite nicely, and hope she likes it.

Happy Birthday Trudy!

Stamp Set: On the Fly (retired), Family Phrases
Ink: Chocolate Chip

Double the thank-yous

These are the thank-you cards I made for Lyns to go in the gift bag you saw on Saturday. She requested that I make her thank-you's for her shower gift, as she will have lots of thank-yous to mail out!!!

I made her a set of pink and a set of blue in honor of her baby girl and baby boy!! This is a great way to make a simple, yet stunning card with all that DSP that you are hoarding. (I do it too, its okay to admit it).

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Family Phrases
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Pink Pirouette (retired), Pink Pirouette DSP (retired), Whisper White
Accessories: White Emobossing Powder, Dimensionals, Small oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

The 'boy' thank you is the same except the sentiment is a little different.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Cute and Curly (Retire)
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Soft Sky (retired), Soft Sky DSP (retired), Whisper White
Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder, Silver Brad

Hope she enjoys her thank you's. Congrats Lyns! Your babies are beautiful!!!

Let the Cute begin x2

So my bestest girlfriend had twins this month! What an amazing woman she is! Today is her baby shower one of her neighbors is throwing for her, and I made the trek to Belgrade for it. :)

This is the card I made for her shower. Pretty simple, and pretty 'white'. I wanted to try to break outside my color box and do something a little more clean. How'd it turn out? Card is pretty straight forward - love the texturz plate!!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Eight Great Greetings
Ink: Certainly Celery
Paper: So Saffron, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Bashful Blue Ribbon, Dimensionals, Silver brads

Why so gender neutral when she had both a boy and a girl? Well, this is the little gift bag I made for her (the most baby themed DSP I have), and I wanted her card and gift to match. This is retired paper from Sale-a-bration 09.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. This is the same stamp set I used when I first found out Lyns was pregnant and made her this card here.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Big on Spring (retired)
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, So Saffron
Accessories: Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder

So that is the gift. I will show you what went inside the bag next time!

Well, I have gotten a little behind in my birthday cards - egads! Seems as if I haven't gotten into a good rhythm here with chores, and cards, etc. Anyways, for those of you who I have missed, sorry - cards are on the way!

This is such great designer paper, and makes super great birthday cards! I love the colors! I used my Big Shot a bunch on this card - such a great versatile tool - a must have! :) I also got out my Pretties kit, which I haven't used yet for the flower and the pearl. Hope you like!

I forgot to share this card last week. I participated at a vendor party at a friend's house, and this was the make and take. It makes a great easy Christmas card. It is a 4x4 card, and by adding the ribbon and chunky glitter, makes it a really striking card!

October Club

Can you believe it is time for Stamp club already? Me neither! This month has gone by fast, and I have done very little stamping! Egads! Now that the weather is changing and getting cooler makes for perfect days holed up in the stamp room! Stay tuned!

This first project caught my eye and knew that it would be a perfect stamp club project! I also think it will be super cute on my Thanksgiving table setting. Give each person a little bit of candy to snack on while they wait for the turkey to hit the table! It's early, I know!!! But gotta plan ahead!

This box is super easy to assemble. Use your Wide Oval Punch and punch out 5 for each side to create your pumpkin. Sponging a little on the edges makes it 3-d.

Recipe:
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green
Accessories: Wide oval punch, 5 petal punch, Silver Brads
Technique: Sponging

This next project incorporates some requests from my stampig girls: sewing on a card and the stamping wheel! This is such a great Thanksgiving themed wheel, but you could easily use for any thank you card. The great thing about the stamping wheels is that you can get the ink cartridges that fit right inside! Then no worries about using your stamp pad and running out of ink halfway through the image! I used versamark on this one and then embossed with gold embossing powder. A little sewing along the edges adds a little kick!

Recipe:
Stamp: Bright Blessings wheel
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dusty Durango Ribbon, Dimensionals, Gold Embossing Powder
Technique: Sewing, Embossing

The last card is a Christmas themed card (yes, already!) and is my favorite!!!! This uses the great new holiday paper, and is a perfect solution for a gift card! I used the double pocket technique, and must admit that it kicked my butt at first! I'll show you how to succeed the first time!

Once you create the pocked and assemble the layers with the designer paper, you have 2 slots to put 'goodies'. In this one I put a little tag note in the back one that you can pull out by the ribbon, and a gift card goes in the front one. It is also a full sized card, so you can open it up and still write a message! I'm in love!

Recipe:
Stamps: Winter Post
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Dimensionals, Designer Label Punch, Real Red Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelet, Tag corner punch

Okay! There are the projects for tonight! I'm so excited to show you how to make em! See ya tonight!

Falling Leaves Thank you

This is such a great stamp set, and so perfect for fall. I also think that these 3 In-colors are perfect for fall. There is nothing that I don't love about fall. The colors, the smells, the changing of the season. Yummy! These are thank you notes to my dear friends and family for birthday gifts.

I love how this card turned out, although it was a little time intensive to make 8 of! First take your piece of Vanilla cardstock and randomly stamp your image, then cut into a grid, sponge and adhere to your next piece of card stock. What a great fall look!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Falling Leaves, Trendy Trees
Ink: Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Crushed Curry Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelet
Technique: Sponging

Christmas pouch

Yep, you read that right. Christmas. In my experience from last year, if you are going to make your Christmas cards and gifts, you must start early! Otherwise, it turns into such a chore that you can't get anything done. So! Here goes the first Christmas card.

This makes a great little pouch for a gift card or photo to go inside. A tutorial for this card can be found here. She does such a great tutorial and this little card turned out so cute! Great way to show off your DSP. Speaking of which - this is some new stuff from the catalog - Merry Moments. LOVE it!

Here is a shot of the inside note area. Great place to write your merry message!

And all the pieces . . .

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Winter Post, The More the Merrier
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Silver Brad, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch, Crimper

Hope this inspires you to start on Christmas!
